The voting process on the tentative agreement for a new MOU has completed a total of 209 votes were cast out of 415 eligible members to vote. The results are 180 Yes and 29 No votes. The TA is ratified and will now move onto the City Council to approve at the meeting on November 5th.
MCEA will be holding is annual Officer and Director elections in November. The current Offices up for election are President and Treasurer. The current Director positions up for election are the following Districts 2, 4, 6, 8, & 10.

I’m getting in touch today to provide an update on the health insurance claims settlement process. As you know, the court ordered all employers under the Riverstone health plan to engage in negotiations to settle claims left unpaid by Riverstone. Here is where we are:
• Negotiations are underway for all 119 employers on the plan.
A General Membership Meeting will be held on October 29th, 2019 5:00 pm in the MCEA Meeting room, located at 1012 11th Street, LL6. This meeting is to cast your vote and determine whether or not you wish MCEA to execute a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the City of Modesto
for a four (4) year agreement effective March 9, 2019, through June 30, 2023.
